Kathy Sasso is thrilled and honored to bring Barre Balanced to the Brandywine Valley area. Kathy's passion for dance and fitness started at the age of six when she took her first ballet class studying the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus. She continued to follow her love of dance and received a B.A. in Dance in Performance and Dance Education from Allentown College of St. Francis DeSales. For over 25 years she has performed, choreographed and taught ballet, modern, jazz, creative movement, and fitness to all ages and levels in the PA and DE area.

In 2006, Kathy discovered barre workouts and fell in love instantly. Passionate about dance, teaching, and fitness she strongly believes in physical activity for the mind and body. She loved the qualities of barre; the discipline, fluidity, and strength, as well as the mind-body connection and dramatic toning results.

Kathy is barre certified and has been teaching barre classes for over 10 years. She loves meeting new people, brainstorming new choreography, and finding the perfect playlist. Her classes are a challenging, energizing, and an upbeat workout with plenty of smiles. She loves motivating and inspiring students to pursue happy healthy lives and to leave each class with a sense of confidence and accomplishment.

She believes taking care of your body is crucial to being the happiest person you can be. Her goal as you leave a Barre Balanced class is that you feel balanced; physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Favorite barre move to teach?

I love them all!! Push-ups, any kind of planks, and Arms! The sculpted upper body makes you look strong and confident, you open your chest, roll the shoulders down your back, stand tall and proud.

One thing clients would be surprised to learn about you?

I'm a New Year's baby. I was the first baby born in my hometown hospital in 19?? (haha) I won a lot of gifts for my mom!

Favorite place you've traveled? I love Paris, but Sag Harbor, NY has my heart.

My mantra is... "No day but today"
